The warranty period and terms are stated in the quote and documentation for the equipment concerned. In the event of a fault, the model, serial number and a precise fault description help us find a solution sooner.

Updated 7 May 2021.

1. Warranty period

The Seller provides a 12-month warranty for all equipment sold and materials and spare parts installed by Külminaator OÜ, except equipment and products with a shorter or longer warranty period under separate warranty terms supplied with the equipment at the time of sale.

The warranty period may differ according to the manufacturer or product group.

2. Warranty validity

2.1. The warranty starts on the date the goods are handed over and the delivery note or handover and acceptance report is signed by the parties' authorised representatives.

2.2. Warranty work and spare parts provided by the Seller (Contractor) remain covered by the original general warranty starting on the date the delivery note or handover and acceptance report was signed. Replacement of parts and repairs do not extend the warranty period.

3. Response time

After receiving the relevant notification from the Buyer (Customer), the Seller must respond as soon as possible within a reasonable time, and no later than 2 (two) working days.

4. Warranty work

4.1. The Seller undertakes to arrange investigation of the causes of faults discovered during the warranty period and to remedy defects at its own expense, including material and labour costs, but excluding transport costs required for the work.

4.2. The Seller may refuse warranty work if it establishes that the faults were not caused by the Seller's failure to act or by products and materials supplied by the Seller.

4.3. The Seller may refuse warranty work if the equipment owner has not used the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's operating instructions, including its intended purpose and specified conditions.

4.4. The Seller may refuse warranty work if the equipment owner and/or user has not carried out the required maintenance on time.

4.5. The warranty provider/Seller and the warranty service provider may refuse warranty work if, at the time of the work, the customer ordering it or the equipment owner owes money to the warranty service provider (Seller).

4.6. The parties agree on the time for remedying defects discovered during the warranty period when inspecting the defects. If the Seller has not started remedial work within 14 (fourteen) days and has not separately agreed a longer period with the Buyer in writing, the Buyer may commission another competent repair company to do the work and claim reimbursement from the Contractor on the basis of a substantiated written repair invoice.

5. The warranty covers:

5.1. Equipment parts that have failed due to defective materials or deficiencies in assembly during manufacture.

5.2. Faults and malfunctions caused by installation work, where installation was carried out by the Seller (Contractor).

6. The warranty does not cover:

6.1. Defects and faults caused by incorrect operation of the equipment, and the work, materials, transport and travel expenses incurred in remedying them.

6.1.1. All transport and call-out costs during the warranty period, except replacement of a defective new product within 14 days of issuing the sales invoice, for which the Seller bears the costs.

6.2. Malfunctions and faults resulting from failure to follow the operating instructions. Operating conditions and maintenance requirements are specified in the instructions for each item of equipment.

6.3. Faults caused by circumstances beyond the warranty provider's control, including mains phase-voltage fluctuations outside 230V ±10V, and short circuits caused by lightning, fire, flooding, dust or other causes.

6.3.1. Connection to an overloaded or unsuitable electrical supply, including an incorrectly rated circuit breaker or overloaded extension leads.

6.4. Damage and loss of income caused by equipment faults.

6.5. Lighting tubes, light bulbs and glass.

6.6. Mechanical damage caused during use or transport.

6.7. Repairs carried out by persons or companies not authorised by the Seller or installer.

6.8. Unjustified call-outs by the Buyer (Customer) or user.

The warranty terms have been drawn up in accordance with the applicable Law of Obligations Act and the manufacturer's product usage requirements.
