Built in Denmark specifically for blood storage, the BioBlood BR 1270/1400 offers particularly large capacity. Behind its two lockable solid doors are 864 litres of net space, held at +2…+6 °C. Temperature logging is handled by the MPC controller, from which chosen periods can be documented on a computer as graphs or tables.
An additional sensor simulates the core temperature of the stored material so that alarms can be programmed around it, and the setting buttons are code-lockable. Alarms are audible as well as visual. Smart defrost, 60 mm polyurethane insulation and LED lighting in the door frames.
Energy use 6.1 kWh per 24 h, noise 48.3 dBA, refrigerant R290, ambient +10…+43 °C. Dimensions 1390 × 876 × 1875/2125 mm, interior 1070 × 638 × 1303/1452 mm, gross volume 1270 litres, net weight 271 kg. A dual refrigeration system, castors and drawers are available as options.
