The Vestfrost ULTF-C198i is an ultra-low temperature chest freezer: the horizontal lid keeps the cold in well, which makes the chest design an economical choice. The ETR-System (Extended Temperature Range) lets it run between −86 and −20 °C, adjusting the cooling to the need or reducing energy use.
Under the lockable hinged solid lid are inner lids, and the chamber holds 117 two-inch cryoboxes. The interior is white painted steel, without lighting. Static cooling and manual defrost, refrigerant Nature R (natural hydrocarbon blend, 90 g).
The chest moves on four castors with brakes, and the probe access port is Ø 12.5 mm. The i-Care controller, with a 5-inch touch screen, data logger and USB connection, alarms on high or low temperature, power failure and probe failure; dry contact for remote alarm, 24 h battery backup.
Pull-down to −75 °C in 180 min, hold-over 63 min to −60 °C, uniformity ±0.9 °C. Energy use 5.994 kWh per 24 h at −82 °C, ambient up to +25 °C. Dimensions 920 × 608 × 831 mm, net weight 63 kg.
