Chest freezer FOCUS 73

The Elcold FOCUS 73 is a 720 mm wide display chest for selling ice cream in shops. Its curved, frameless sliding glass lids close into a grey frame, making the lid system very tight; together with good insulation, the manufacturer says this lowers energy use and reduces ice build-up.

Three wire baskets are included, and the LED lighting at the front has a switch. The grey inner frame can carry custom branding. Cooling is static, with a mechanical thermostat and manual defrost via a defrost water drain.

A fan-assisted condenser helps efficiency, and the chest runs on castors, two of them lockable. Running at −23…−16 °C in climate class 4, it uses R290, draws 84 W and consumes 1.18 kWh per 24 h. The 720 × 650 × 850 mm chest holds 113 litres net and weighs 44 kg; the exterior is white and grey, the interior aluminium, and there is no lock.
