Condensation in the KAGL6HAW is by air, supplemented by water depending on operating conditions, and hot-gas defrost runs only when it is needed. The single-door cabinet holds 54 ice cream containers of 36 × 16.5 × 12 cm on AISI 304 racks with nine positions spaced 150 mm, at −24…−12 °C; 682 litres gross, 538 litres net.

HACCP alarms and Hyper Cold are built into the electronic board with digital display, and the optional APOLINK accessory adds remote control through the portal. Cooling is fan-assisted with an evaporator outside the compartment. The door locks with a key, the interior is LED-lit and the bottom is diamond treated; service parts sit behind a retractable front panel.
