The Vestfrost ULTF-37i is an ultra-low temperature freezer with a small footprint for storing biomedical content where space is tight; it can also stand on a table to stay within easy reach. The ETR-System sets the temperature anywhere from −86 to −20 °C, to suit the content or to save energy.
The chamber takes 33 two-inch cryoboxes. It has a stainless-steel interior with LED lighting, ATEX protection (3G nA B T6) and vacuum insulated panels (VIP). The lockable solid door is not reversible; depth including the handle is 745 mm.
Static cooling, manual defrost, refrigerant Nature R, a natural hydrocarbon blend (96 g). The i-Care controller has a 5-inch touch screen, data logger, USB download, a dry contact for remote alarms and 24 h battery backup, with alarms for temperature, door, power failure and probe failure.
Pull-down to −75 °C takes 84 min, uniformity ±2.5 °C, energy use 2.94 kWh per 24 h at −80 °C. Dimensions 630 × 675 × 631 mm, net weight 59 kg.
