The set range is −90…−40 °C, and the 477-litre chamber holds 352 cryoboxes of 50 mm. Behind the solid door are two inner doors, with room for four freezer racks per compartment.
Three stainless-steel shelves are supplied, and up to 13 can be fitted. Insulation uses long-life vacuum insulated panels (VIP). The cabinet moves on four castors, two of them with brakes.
Electronic controller with digital display, a built-in data logger whose readings can be exported over USB in an open format, and an Ethernet interface. High and low temperature alarms, 24 h battery backup for the controller. Energy use 7.9 kWh per 24 h at −80 °C, power 1600 W, pull-down time 360 min, noise 47 dBA.
