With its small footprint the freezer can stand on a table so biomedical content is close at hand, and the temperature is adjustable from −86 to −20 °C.
Behind the lockable solid door is a stainless-steel, ATEX-protected interior, and the insulation uses vacuum insulated panels (VIP). Static cooling and manual defrost, refrigerant Nature R (natural hydrocarbon blend, 85 g). A multi-voltage supply of 100–240 V / 50/60 Hz, adjustable feet and a depth of 720 mm including the door handle.
The Vestfrost i-Care controller offers a 5-inch touch screen, built-in data logger and USB connection, a remote-alarm dry contact, 24 h battery backup and alarms for temperature, door open, power failure and probe failure. Pull-down to −75 °C in 132 min, uniformity ±2.5 °C, energy use 2.94 kWh per 24 h at −80 °C.
