A copper-toned Tasilaq sablè finish marks out the KC8E: the screen print on its tempered-glass compartment and the colour of the lower structure are both sablè. Behind the glass, five 70 × 47 cm shelves in 457 litres gross are held at +14…+16 °C with 40–44% relative humidity.

The PIR Sense proximity sensor changes the intensity of the high-brightness anti-glare LEDs as customers approach, and the glass has anti-condensation heating elements. A humidistat sets the humidity; fan-assisted cooling comes from an evaporator in the base. The right-hinged glass door, not reversible on site, has an invisible full-height handle, and a safety switch stops the internal fan.
