Thanks to its small footprint it can stand on a table, and the temperature is set within −86…−20 °C to suit the biomedical content stored. The stainless-steel interior is ATEX-protected (3G nA B T6) and unlit, and vacuum panels (VIP) provide the insulation.
Static cooling, manual defrost, refrigerant Nature R (natural hydrocarbon blend), 149 g. The lockable solid door is not reversible; the cabinet has adjustable feet and castors and is 790 mm deep including the handle. The i-Care controller combines a 5-inch touch screen, data logger and USB with a remote-alarm dry contact and 24 h battery backup, alarming on temperature, door, power and probe faults.
