Producing 36–39 kg of ice a day, the Scotsman ACM86AS keeps the finished cubes in its own 19 kg bin. The air-cooled model makes Gourmet cubes in three sizes (S 8 g, M 20 g, L 39 g), while the water-cooled WS version makes M cubes. When the bin is full, an ice-level sensor switches the machine off.
Airflow runs through the front panel, so the unit can be fitted into furniture. A unique system protects against scale, the air filter is easy to remove and wash, and the bin lid opens quietly. A water-connection kit, an ice scoop with holder, an ON/OFF button and a cleaning indicator come as standard.
Drain-pump and 230 V / 60 Hz versions are also available. Electricity use per 100 kg of ice is 37.4 kWh for the air-cooled model and 35 kWh for the water-cooled one, with a rated power of 550 W. Water consumption is 5.0 and 50.8 litres per hour respectively.
Stainless-steel cabinet on feet, 531 × 600 × 875 mm; refrigerant R134a, supply 230 V / 50 Hz, net weight 44 kg.
