Modular ice cube maker Scotsman NW 1008

The Scotsman NW 1008 is a modular, head-only ice maker that is installed on top of a separately ordered storage bin. This set-up suits sites that need ice in large quantities and want to size the bin to their own consumption. Built around the Vertical Cube System, it makes 10 g dice cubes; 6 g half-dice and 15 g large-dice models are also part of the range.

The panels are T304 stainless steel, indicator lights give automatic alerts and the evaporator is accessible from the front. Cleaning starts with one touch, and the XSafe system sanitises the machine automatically around the clock. The footprint follows common industry standards.

At +10 °C air and water the head produces 485 kg of ice per 24 h, and 380 kg at +32/+21 °C. The air-cooled (AS) version uses 22.3 l of water per hour and 50.3 kWh of electricity per 24 h; rated power is 2500 W on a 230 V / 50 Hz supply. Refrigerant R404A / R452A.

The head measures 760 × 620 × 800 mm and weighs 105 kg (122 kg packed).
