The Scotsman NXW 1007 belongs to the newer NXW generation of modular ice makers and is aimed at high-volume users. The head is installed on a separately ordered bin, and cooling can be air or water (AS or WS version). Natural R290 refrigerant (GWP 3, ODP
0) and eligibility under ENERGY STAR and LEED criteria reflect its focus on efficiency.
Large air intakes keep output high in hot rooms. The front panel is hinged, internal parts come out without tools for cleaning, and both the cleaning cycle and XSafe sanitising are automatic. A delayed automatic start and remote support through the free XWave app are also provided.
Output 470 kg per 24 h at +10 °C and 390 kg at +32/+21 °C, with a 10 g cube (half-dice 6 g and large dice 15 g also available). The AS version takes 20 l of water an hour and 39 kWh of electricity per 24 h; power is 1620 W on a 230 V / 50 Hz connection. Measuring 765 × 640 × 780 mm, the head weighs 97 kg, or 113 kg packed.
