Ice cube maker Scotsman EC 227

Where large volumes of ice are needed quickly, the Scotsman EC 227 turns out up to 165 kg of Gourmet cubes per 24 h at +10 °C air and water, or 130 kg at +32/+21 °C. Its built-in bin holds 70 kg, and the truncated-cone cubes can be made at 8 g, 20 g or 39 g. As an EASY-line machine, the EC 227 is a simplified variant of the AC models.

It has electronic control, a front-panel switch, a PWD system that pumps waste water up to 15 metres and XSafe automatic sanitising. It comes as air-cooled AS or water-cooled WS, and front airflow on the AS model allows undercounter installation. Dimensions are 1078 × 719 × 1082 mm and the stainless-steel machine weighs 99 kg net, 116 kg gross.

It is rated at 1400 W on 230 V / 50 Hz, with R290 refrigerant, and uses 28 kWh of electricity per 24 h; the AS version needs 21 l/h of water.
