Ice cube maker Scotsman EC 87

Sized for the moderate ice demand of restaurants and bars, the Scotsman EC 87 produces up to 44 kg of Gourmet cubes per 24 h at +10 °C air and water, or 35 kg at +32/+21 °C. The truncated-cone cubes weigh 8 g, 20 g or 39 g and are held in a built-in 19 kg bin. As part of the EASY line, it is a simplified version of the AC machines.

The PWD system pumps excess water up to 15 metres away, and XSafe sanitises the unit automatically and continuously. The air-cooled AS model draws air from the front and fits under a counter; a water-cooled WS version is also offered. Control is electronic.

The 531 × 600 × 825 mm stainless-steel machine weighs 47 kg net and 53 kg gross. With R290 refrigerant and a 230 V / 50 Hz supply it is rated at 570 W, using 9 kWh of electricity per 24 h and, in the AS version, 3 l/h of water.
