Modular nugget ice maker Scotsman MFN 88 SPLIT

Built for high-volume nugget ice production, the MFN 88 SPLIT is an evaporator-only head that connects to a remote condensing unit or central low-temperature system (R452A). Output is up to 2000 kg per 24 h at +10 °C air and water, or 1500 kg at +32/+21 °C. The small nuggets weigh about 1 g and measure 13.5 mm across and 13 mm high.

The auger and freezing cylinder are stainless steel, and the control board is electromechanical. A strengthened alloy icebreaker allows greater extrusion pressure, so the ice is 92% dry. The gear motor and reducer have double protection, and a low-water sensor and ice level thermostat stop the machine when needed.

Scotch-brite panels come off on all four sides, the top cover is PS plastic, and the height has been reduced to ease installation. Dimensions 540 × 962 × 1254 mm; weight 241 kg gross, 223 kg net. On a three-phase 400 V / 50 Hz / 3N supply the head draws 250 W and uses 6 kWh per 24 h without the condensing unit; water use 64.6 l/h.

The manufacturer recommends the UBH2250 (1068 kg) or SIS1350 storage bins.
